WINE COUNTRY REGIONS
Napa Valley is an international destination rich in history and drenched in year-round sunshine. Home to some of the most celebrated winemakers and wineries in the world, Napa is famed for big, lush, deep cabernets because of its hot and dry summers. Our Napa-themed products take a cue from the classic red and purple hues of its most cherished vintages, and the rustic elegance of this world class destination from sophisticated Yountville to bucolic, sweet Calistoga to the charming, elegant Main Street of St. Helena.
Sonoma’s westerly and southern AVAs harbor a cooler climate that favors Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. Dappled amongst the rolling hills of Sonoma’s acclaimed vineyards lay bucolic stretches of olive groves and fields of lavender. Our Sonoma collections are inspired by the charming personality zestful spirit found in the wines and towns of Healdsburg, Sonoma, Glen Ellen, and everywhere in-between. Wine country chartreuses and olive greens remind us of the landscape and brings us back to our happy place.
Dynamic, creative wines are crafted and savored all over California’s Central Coast, from rosy Paso Robles to breezy San Luis Obispo to Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone. Up-and-coming might be the decree du jour of this region, but the Central Coast contains some of the oldest grape-growing areas in the state. This blend of history and emerging talent inspires our Central Coast collections, honoring this captivatingly diverse region with color ways that evoke the golden inland hills to the seaside views adjacent to the expanses of vineyards. From Rhone varietals to Bordeaux Blends to spicy Zinfandels, a compelling variety of wine experiences from Los Olivos to Livermore make the Central Coast an authentic wine country destination.
Washington’s wine country begins east. Through the Palouse and Walla Walla Valleys to the agricultural core of Yakima and the wine tasting hub of Woodinville, Washington wine lovers witness a blend of the Old and New Worlds—Washington wineries are not as big the Californians, not as austere as the French, but certainly distinguished by their pluck, ingenuity, and remarkable grapes. Washington’s personality shines in earthy tones of green and orange that bring our designs back to what we love about Washington: the down-to-earth yet internationally renowned energy of this wine country.
Oregon is the third largest wine grape producing state in the country. The Willamette Valley is easily accessible from the city of Portland, and is home to 400 of Oregon’s 500 wineries. Wine tasting along the Valley’s country roads is a bucket list destination for Pinot lovers. Southern Oregon’s drier, sunnier weather is prime for Spanish varietals, and over all, the most common white grapes grown in the state are Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Viognier. Mercantile 12 celebrates the thriving wine regions and endearing small towns of Oregon with lush greens and rustic designs that fits the laid-back vibe of our neighbor to the south.
